Land Rover 60th Anniversary Defender

Has been long time not update my blog....

Land Rover will celebrate its 60th anniversary with a new special edition of the iconic Defender – the SVX. Unveiled for the first time at the British Red Cross Ball in London on November 22, 2007, the SVX is considered by Land Rover as the most stylish and feature-packed version of the Defender ever produced. Of course, don’t expect any miracles as the Defender remains a working tool.

Land Rover will produce a total of 200 Defender SVX vehicles in the UK – 140 two-seat Defender 90 soft-tops and 60 four-seat 90 station wagons. Production of the Defender SVX will start in spring 2008, with deliveries to customers starting from early summer for soft-tops and later in the summer for station wagons. Prices will be announced in December, 2007.

Belguim for Sale

The ad read, "For Sale: Belgium, a kingdom in three parts." The seller was also willing to throw in the king and his court at no extra cost -- though he did make sure the buyer was aware that supporting a monarch was not cheap. Gerrit Six's eBay ad, claimed it would deliver the country free of charge but warned potential bidders that Belgium was not quite as good as new and that it came with over $300 billion (€220 billion) in debt. EBay decided to run the ad as a political spoof, but it was pulled on Tuesday after someone actually made a bid of €10 million for the country.
